LLYS CADWYN
PONTYPRIDD

​Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council recognised the importance of delivering a gateway project that would stimulate economic growth for Pontypridd. As a result the £42m Llys Cadwyn redevelopment of the former derelict Taff Vale Shopping Centre is a multiple-award-winning project. Pontypridd now benefits from three parallel buildings, including a vibrant new headquarters for Transport for Wales. The development has breathed new life into the river’s edge by creating public realm spaces and connecting both sides of the river with the striking new footbridge.

As proud electrical sub-contractors to Knox & Wells we are currently assisting with the restoration works to this Grade II Listed building, formally known as the Wesleyan Chapel, and was actually built by Knox & Wells in 1895. Now getting a post-industrial redevelopment as a centre for the arts and culture.
HAY CASTLE

Overall winner of the 2024 Royal Society of Architects in Wales (RSAW) Building of the Year Award.
The restoration and refurbishment of this 17th Century, Grade I listed Castle has seen a change of use to the Manor House and outbuildings to create a public venue for education and the arts as well as an event space, cafe, ancillary office space and retention of existing retail units.

Founded in 1852 and located in the heart of the town of Aberdare, in the picturesque Cynon Valley, St Elvan's has recently undergone an extensive £2M renovation, and has now reopened as a vibrant new space featuring concert and conference facilities, an exhibition gallery, meeting rooms, coffee shop "Spires" and outdoor sun patio.
